Imo State’s governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has flagged off a new tech program, the Founder Dojo Imo Bootcamp, to supplement the ongoing Imo Skill Up program.
The new tech program is a product of a partnership with Global Innovation Dojo/USMAC and the Berkeley Sutardja Centre, and would be hosted by the Imo digital city.
Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony, Uzodimma reiterated that his drive to replicate a global-standard tech economy in Imo State is not just a policy idea but a deliberate plan to position Imo State for the competitive global tech market.
The governor highlighted features of the new Founder Dojo Imo Bootcamp, which includes a strong mentorship component, driven by experienced Silicon Valley founders, and designed to develop world-class entrepreneurs through hands-on learning.
According to him, participants will gain global exposure, access to advanced tech, business guidance, and an opportunity for Silicon Valley funding.
“I encourage Ndi Imo, especially ambitious talents and innovators, to key into this initiative as we collectively build a resilient, tech-driven State,” says Uzodimma.
The flag-off of the program was attended by global tech partners and potential investors in Imo State’s tech ecosystem.
