The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, led the Dr Moghalu campaign train to Ukpo, Nawgu, Ukwulu, Nkwelle Ezunaka, Umunya, and Ogbunike as the Anambra gubernatorial election draws close.
The Labour Party man has joined the Grassroots outreach for the election of Dr George Moghalu and his running mate, Hon. Mrs. Ifeoma Okaro.
Speaking at the political rally in Ogbunike, Peter Obi described the town as a place of reference in Anambra State and emphasized that leadership must have a human face anchored on compassion and competence.
“When I was governor, the work I did in Ogbunike is visible and not video noise. I am supporting George Moghalu and his deputy, your daughter, because they are competent and have the compassion required for leadership,” Obi Said.
The former Anambra Governor urged Ndi ogbunike not to sell their vote, warning that politicians who sell their votes are under no obligation to work for the people when they get into power.
” Please don’t sell your vote. Anyone who buys votes is doing business and will recover the money twice when he gets into office. Education is the most important investment in human life, and that is what Moghalu is offering Anambra.” Obi added.
The campaign team led by Mr Peter Obi paid a courtesy visit to the traditional rulers of the communities in the person of His Royal Majesty, Igwe Sir. George E. Okaa Onwuogu (KSM); HRM Igwe Ezeike of Ukwulu Kingdom; HRM Igwe Sir Obiora Anachuna; Igwe Orazulunye Nkwelle Ezunaka; and HRH Igwe (Dr.) Robert Eze, Okofia VI of Ukpo.
Peter Obi long endorsed Moghalu as his choice candidate in the election, urging Ndi Anambra to vote for him into power as he is the candidate that best mirrors his ideology and standards of leadership.
