Drill artist and rapper Jeremiah Ani, aka Jeriq, would light up the commercial city of Onitsha with the Golibe Festival on December 30 2025.
Basking in the success of the Eastern Machine concert in Enugu a few days ago, the Onitsha-raised rapper would be making a homecoming to the city that shaped his music career.
The Golibe Festival, headlined by Jeriq, would take place at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium in Onitsha at 6:00 pm on 30th December 2025. Supporting artists for the show include Dremo, Mayorkun, Berri Tiga, Aguero Banks, Evado, Rord Kelly, Brown Joel, etc.
Sponsoring the Golibe Music festival are regional and national players interested in boosting their hold in the southeastern market. They include Life Lager beer, Funz App, Legend Beer, and Iyoo Cartel.
The Golibe music festival follows a host of music concerts lined up for the yuletide celebrations in the southeastern region. Enugu experienced the bulk of the events, starting with Davido’s 5ive tour, which set the pace for the rest.

Other events in the city include the Eastern Machines tour, headlined by Odumodublvck and Jeriq, and the Road Block event, headlined by Phyno, as well as other culturally focused events.
Away from Enugu, Awka, and Onitsha also had their share of music concerts and festivals, highlighting the festive season.
The Unblocked Party, a rave party with no artist, was a hit in Awka, announcing the entrance of the city into the Yuletide fever. In Onitsha, Eastern Vybz, a homegrown artist kicked off the celebrations with a free concert.
At the turn of the yuletide celebration, the eastern region still has music concerts lined up by headline artists. Highlife artist Flavour will be making a Homecoming concert in Awka on December 30, capping off a busy holiday season for the region.
A new generation of home-based artists is powering the region’s growing number of music events and the rise of pop and urban culture.
