Higlife artist and Afroculture crooner Chinedu Okoli, aka Flavour, is storming the capital city of Awka today for his homecoming concert.
The concert holding today, 30th December 2025, at the Solution Fun City and is entirely free, as the artist looks to reconnect with his home fan base.
Flavour has had a very busy December, basking in the success of his newly released Afroculture album. The artist, fully booked for the season, has attended shows in London, Lagos, Uyo, Enugu and now Awka.
The Anambra government solely sponsors the Homecoming concert, hence its free entry. This aligns with the Soludo administration’s vision to promote leisure and relaxation in Anambra State.
The event is slated to commence at 5 pm and continue into the night, as the headline artists would not likely begin performance at the start of the event.
The event venue, Solution Fun City, is a flagship project of the Soludo administration that gulped over N2.43 billion in public funds. The leisure park features a water park, an indoor bowling arena, an Anambra Country Club, and other facilities.
Away from Awka, the commercial city of Onitsha is hosting Jeriq for the Jeriqhood Golibe Festival Concert. The Jeriqhood Golibe festival concert will feature supporting artists such as Dremo, Mayorkun, Evado, Zoro, Aguero Banks, Brown Joel, and more.
The Eastern Showbiz Industry is on the Rise
The eastern region of Nigeria has seen an uptick in music concerts, driven by a new generation of homegrown artists expanding their base and honing their craft in the area.
Enugu takes the pole position, hosting a series of music concerts featuring top artists like Davido, Phyno and Flavour. Onitsha, Awka, and Owerri follow closely, hosting pockets of music concerts and serving as core bases for homegrown music.
Flavour’s homecoming concert features as the last lap of music concerts slated for the Yuletide season across the eastern region.
