Ebonyi APC Holds Mega Rally
The event follows the APC mega rally held in Ebonyi today. The governors of Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu, and Imo states were present at the event. APC in Ebonyi State pledged to return President Bola Tinubu to Aso Rock. They also want to re-elect Ebonyi Governor Francis Nwifuru for a second Term.
Ebonyi became an APC state under Nwifuru, ending many years of PDP reign. The state pivoted to the APC after the tenure of Engr David Umahi, who ruled the state for eight years. Umahi, who midwived the Pivot, is an APC chieftain and current Minister of Works in the Bola Tinubu Administration.
Ebonyi state under Umahi was characterised by capital projects and road infrastructure. This was followed by people-centered initiatives under Nwifuru to complement the previous administration.
Ebonyi has one of the lowest Human Development Index (HDI) in the region. It has most of its citizens being economic migrants in other states. The Nwifuru administration is addressing this through intentional educational initiatives and people-centered policies.
