The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), an umbrella body of legal practitioners from the defunct old Eastern Region, has lauded the infrastructural strides made by Imo State’s Governor Hope Uzodimma following an inspection by the forum.
The EBF described development going on in the state as “Real, Visible and Verifiable, following its inspection of major projects.
The legal practitioners toured major projects in the state after their 2026 Quarterly Meeting and Convention in Owerri. The delegates passed a vote of confidence on the Uzodimma Administration following their inspection and assessment of projects in the state.
The Quarterly meeting and convention in Owerri attracted a diverse cross-section of the association’s members. Senior judges, jurists, and legal practitioners from Imo, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states.
The physical assessment of projects by delegates from this forum helped inform their opinions on the state. The delegates gave the governor a pass mark. The delegates were led by D.O Nosike, Governor of the Eastern Bar Forum. He was received by the Imo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Paul Obinatu.
They were accompanied by the staff of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development. The staff led the tour, showing the delegates around the state.
EBF Reviews Key Infrastructure Projects
Infrastructure projects visited by the delegates include the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Centre, the Orashi Electricity Company, the ongoing Concorde Hotel in Owerri, the Imo Digital City project, and the newly refurbished Assumpta (Control) Roundabout.
“What we saw is real, visible, and verifiable. These are not projects that exist only in photographs or media reports. They are physical developments that reflect careful planning, quality execution and purposeful governance,” the forum said.
Governor Uzodimma secured his second tenure as Governor of Imo State in 2023 following a landslide victory. He is set to progress to the red chambers representing Imo West following a successful Senatorial primary election this year.
