The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Anambra state, Dr George Moghalu, has called for mobilisation and action amongst Ndi Anambra as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) opened its channel for the collection of the permanent voters’ card (PVC) ahead of the November 6 gubernatorial elections in the state.
The call followed INEC’s announcement that it was commencing the collection of PVCs in various designated areas in the state ahead of the November elections. Moghalu urged Ndi Anambra to take advantage of the exercise to grab their PVCs and carry out their constitutional rights in the polls.
“I sincerely urge every eligible voter who registered, transferred, or applied for a replacement to take advantage of this window to collect their PVCs. Remember, your PVC is your power, your voice, and your right to shape the future of our beloved Anambra State.” Moghalu Said
The former NIWA boss seized the opportunity to remind Ndi Anambra that the Labour Party in the state remains the only beacon of hope and integrity going into the polls. Moghalu described the party as a movement rooted in the collective desire for good governance and a better Ndi Anambra.
“Together, through active participation and shared commitment, Anambra ga-adi mma ozo,” Moghalu added.
Moghalu earlier lamented the poor voter turnout and perennial apathy in Anambra’s political history, labelling it a symptom of the little faith Ndi Anambra have in the government.
The Labour Party man believes this is a big challenge that must be tackled for the good of the state and its future political prospects.
