High-flying drill artist and rapper, Jeremiah Ani, aka Jeriq, is selling VIP tickets to his Golibe Festival concert for a historic N1 million.
The N1 million price tag of a music concert ticket in Onitsha is a historic moment, given the showbiz industry’s struggles in the commercial city for years.
The N1 million price tag goes for the VIP slot and the Table of 10 slot at the event. Other ticket prices range from N2,000 for Regular to N500,000 for a table for six. Backstage access costs N500,000, giving fans the option to meet their favourite artists one-on-one.
The Golibe festival, slated for 30th December, is the final lap of Jeriq’s music concerts as the year draws to a close.
Supporting artists for the show include Dremo, Aguero Banks, Berry Tigga, Evado, Sparkle Tee, Brown Jewel, Rord Kelly, Nuno Zigi, Dre Ice, and a host of others.
The music concert would be Jeriq’s first and only in the commercial city of Onitsha, where he grew up, following a successful show in Enugu.
The Golibe Festival is an annual cultural festival initiated in 2016 by the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe.
The festival is part of a larger project titled “Onitsha in the 21st Century project,” which aims to showcase the rich heritage of Onitsha and its ancient roots.
The Festival proper features vibrant carnivals, football competitions, Cultural dances, masquerades, music performances, traditional cuisine, etc.
The Golibe festival follows the annual Ofala festival, which took Onitsha by storm in October. The week-long event marks the traditional coronation anniversary of the Onitsha monarch, alongside other smaller festivities.
