Imo Land Information Service Centre
The governor commented on the ongoing construction of the Imo Land Information Service Centre to checkmate the unruly activities of land grabbers and fraudsters in the real estate sector of the state. He recalled an Imo state house assembly bill passed in 2021 which madates all Imo state land owners to document their lands with the Geographic Information System (GIS) provided by the Centre.
The Governor affirmed that the entire process is digital and landowners can acess information about their lands online. “98 per cent of the land transactions will be done online for convenience. By so doing, we will have a society that will be governed by sanity and harmonious way of doing things, given the 21st century challenges,” he stated.
