Nigerian Highlife band with eastern roots, the Cavemen, had a stellar tour in the UK, selling out venues and extending its fan base across Europe.
The Cavemen just concluded the UK leg of their 2026 European Tour this past weekend. finishing their final British show three days ago. The highlife band has moved on to other parts of Europe and is currently in Paris to continue their European tour.
The Cavemen’s UK tour was a celebration of their Unique Ancestral Soul genre. It captured the heart of their fans and introduced a new sound to the UK music scene.
The UK tour took place across four major cities: Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, and London.
The London show was originally scheduled for the O2 Forum Kentish Town but was moved to the O2 Academy Islington due to logistics. It was the climax of the UK run and received rave reviews for its “spiritual” and intimate atmosphere.
The Cavemen brothers, Kingsley and Benjamin Okorie, grew up in a musical household. They reunited after school to form a band that pioneered the Ancestral highlife sound.
The Cavemen have a catalogue that ranges from “old-school” Highlife to more modern, experimental tracks. Their hits are generally split between their breakout 2020 debut and their recent 2025/2026 releases.
Hit songs include Anita, Adaugo, Bena, “Selense“, “Beautiful Rain and other hit solos. Collaborations include “Na Money” with Davido and Angelique Kidjo, Addicted with CKay and others.
The Cavemen are popular amongst alternative music fans who are drawn to genres outside the mainstream. They command an impressive following among young Nigerians and Africans worldwide.
