Anambra State is slated to hold its Gubernatorial election by November, and Governor Soludo is running for reelection. The Professor turned governor’s administration has been lacklustre, lacking major projects aside from roads and flyovers.

He faces several key rivals among the 16 candidates fielded by various political parties. Nicholas Ukachukwu (All Progressives Congress – APC): A businessman and politician, George Moghalu (Labour Party – LP): Moghalu, a former APC chieftain and Valentine Ozigbo (Peoples Democratic Party – PDP): A business executive and 2021 governorship candidate, all pose significant challenges to his quest to remain at Agu Awka.
