A key delegation from Seplat Energy paid a courtesy visit to Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, reaffirming operations and partnerships in Imo State’s oil and gas sector.
Board Chairman Senator Udoma Udo Udoma and CEO Mr. Roger Brown led the team, meeting the Imo Governor on Monday to discuss partnerships and other key topics.
Other notable dignitaries at the event include Commissioner for Petroleum and Natural Gas Development, Imo State, Mr. Emeka Mgbudem; Managing Director/CEO Orashi Special Energy Free Trade Zone, Dr. Chioma Nwachuku, COO Seplat Energy, Mr. Samson Ezugworie; and MD Seplat East Onshore, Mrs. Ibi-Ada Itotoi.
The visit by the delegation highlighted Seplat’s commitment to deepening its operations and partnerships in Imo State’s oil and gas sector. The Oil company hopes to achieve this through the operation of the ANOH Gas Processing Plant, a strategic joint venture with NNPC.
During the courtesy visit, the delegation harped on fostering sustainable development and enhancing local content. They pledged to support economic growth through investments in infrastructure and community initiatives.
Governor Uzodimma commended Seplat’s contributions to imo state. He pledged his continued support while urging the company to expand investments in the state in order to stimulate the economy.
The visit highlighted a mutual commitment to collaboration between the Imo state government and Seplat Energy, with a focus on operational efficiency and environmental standards. The existing synergy hopes to drive community development and Imo State’s industrialization and economic revitalization.
Seplat Energy operates the ANOH Gas Processing Plant, located in Assa, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, approximately 70 km northwest of Port Harcourt. The oil infrastructure contributes to the oil ecosystem in Imo State, creating local jobs and supporting the state’s economy.
