- George Moghalu is running for the highest office in Anambra State under the Labour Party. His chances depend on how many obedient votes he pulls in the state and how successful his Political ally, Peter Obi, gets in swaying political capital for him.
- Moghalu is running against the incumbent governor, Prof Charles Soludo, who flies the flag of the ruling APGA party. Soludo remains the favourite to win the elections, given Anambra’s political history.
- Other political rivals include Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is banking on the federal might of the National ruling party to strong-arm his way into power.
- The newly reinforced African Democratic Congress (ADC) fronting John Chuma Nwosu is also a top contender in the November 8 elections, banking on the recent coalition of the party at the National level.
