Highlife star and celebrated musician, Chinedu Okoli, aka “Flavour,” is set to headline the grand opening of the Solution Fun City in Anambra on Saturday, June 28.

The grand opening follows the official commissioning of the place by President Bola Tinubu during his one-day visit to the state on 8 May 2025. The development was announced by Anambra State’s commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, revealing that the event would be a big cultural display.

Celebrated music icon Chinedu Okoli (Flavour) will headline the grand opening, alongside highlife duo Umu Obiligbo, in what promises to be a vibrant cultural showcase,” Dr Mefor said

Other headline artists for the event include Umu Obiligbo and a host of homegrown artists seizing the opportunity to grow their craft. The Solution Fun City makes up the lineup of six capital projects earmarked for N2 billion by the Soludo Administration.

What is the Solution Fun City Initiative

The Solution Fun City, by the Governor Charles Soludo’s administration in Anambra State, is a leisure and tourism hub in Awka, set to open on June 28, 2025, after its commissioning by President Bola Tinubu on May 8, 2025. The Leisure project cost a mammoth ₦2.43 billion and features a state-of-the-art water park, amusement park, sports facilities, and a country club, aiming to transform Anambra into a tourism destination.

The initiative already employed 85 local graduates and aligns with Soludo’s vision of a prosperous Anambra state, trying its hand at Tourism and urban renewal.

Despite criticism from rivals like George Moghalu, who downplay its significance, the Fun City has garnered praise from figures like Emeka Anyaoku for its visionary infrastructure development.
