Eccentric and fast-rising eastern rapper, Aguero Banks, is set to drop Mgbe Ole, a teaser track off his Eze Onyiko Album on April 16th.
The drill artist, who also goes by the moniker “Onye Awuru,” is promoting his second major studio Album, Eze Onyiko, by dropping teaser tracks for his fans to get a taste of what he has in store.
The rapper shared a teaser video for his “Mgbe Ole” track, which featured a traditional Cupid character with his classic bow and arrow pointing towards some villains.
Aguero Banks is quite famous for dropping conscious music, which resonates with his core fan base, who are mostly stoners. The Enugu-born artist, whose real name is Chukwu Francis, is another product of Enugu Music heritage and strongly embodies his Enugu background in his craft.
Last year, Banks experimented with basic pop music, shifting away a bit from the hardcore drill music and rap he is known for. He was featured by successful singer Chike on their hit “Push to Start” solo, which did well. Other reputable collaborations include A-list artists like Phyno on the hit “Hero” rap track, as well as other songs with Ugoccie, Jeriq, and Dandizzy.
Banks is another product of the new generation music wave sweeping across Eastern Nigeria. He is based in eastern Nigeria, building his fanbase in the region, a recurring pattern among new-generation artists from this region. He was brought out by Phyno in his just concluded Phyno Experience at the International Conference Centre in Enugu.
Mgbe Ole will be out on all platforms by April 16th. Aguero Banks shared a direct link so his fans can hear the track as soon as it drops.
