The founder of Afia TV and Radio, Mr Emeka Mbah, paid a courtesy visit to the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, at the government house late last week.
Mr Mbah led a section of Afia TV’s top management to go see the governor and brief him on their progress so far since breaking ground in the state in 2022.
” Afia TV and Afia Radio FM have, in just two years, distinguished themselves as authentic voices of the South-East – telling our stories, projecting our culture, and amplifying our economic and governance narratives to Nigeria, Africa, and the world,” Mbah stated
The Enugu governor earmarked Afia TV’s success as an indicator of the thriving business environment in Enugu, shoring up sucessful private enterprises and public ones as well. He described Afia TV as a hub for creativity, innovation, and community connection.
Mbah added that the success of the media startup is proof that private enterprises can make a difference in promoting tourism, development, and leisure in Enugu state. He reiterated that Enugu State is open for more private investment aimed at stimulating its local economy and providing jobs to youth in the state.
He commended the Afia TV Ceo, stating that the media company remains a valuable partner in communicating government policies, promoting civic engagement, and showcasing the best of who we are.
