The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, said his administration delivered on his campaign promise, creating a conducive environment for investors in the state.
Otti said this in UmuawaAlaoocha in Umuahia North Local Government Area during the launch of two new radio stations by Abia-born Lucky Igbokwe. The governor, represented by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, George Chidozie, said his administration has made Abia safe and reduced the activities of touts fronting multiple tax fronts.
“We have made sure that Abia is safe for our people to come back home and invest, and non-Abians are also free to invest here.
“For me, the opening of these two radio stations is a wonderful development, and it shows that the programs and all the governor has been doing to encourage the ease of doing business are paying off. If not, we won’t have a son of the soil coming to invest back home.
“We been talking about our people who are resident outside the shores of the state to come home and invest, that can only happen in an environment that enables businesses to thrive. An environment where the infrastructure is wonderful, where there is security, and what has been laid on the ground by this administration is enough to attract investors.” Otti Said .
Mr Chidozie stressed that the Otti administration has provided the basics necessary for businesses to thrive in the state, providing security, infrastructure, and power. He urged Abia citizens all over Nigeria and abroad to come back home and invest just like Lucky Igbokwe did.
What Don Lulu has done today speaks to our adage that says our wealth should come home. We are calling on our people to return home and invest because most of their fears in the past have been taken care of with the right policies by the government”. He Said
