The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, has received a delegation from the Igboukwu community at the Light House in Awka.
The delegation came with a gesture of support by donating two brand new OMAA utility vehicles to help strengthen security efforts in the state.
Soludo said the donation shows that the people are taking part in the fight against criminal activities and are ready to support government work to keep the state safe.
He said that security is a shared responsibility between the government and the community.
He thanked the Igboukwu community for the support and praised their leaders and traditional institution for the gesture.
According to him, the vehicles will be put to use immediately to assist security operatives, improve movement, and help respond faster to security challenges.
He also said the partnership between government and communities is key to building a safer and more livable Anambra State.

Soludo’s Rural Road Infrastructure Initiative
Soludo’s first tenure was marked with a focus on rural road infrastructure constructing as many as he could. Some of the flagship rural roads constructed by the Aguata-born Governor include
- Nawfija- Ajali – Ufuma- Ogbunka road (16.4 km)
- Isuaniocha – Urum- Amanuke- Achalla road (10.3km)
- Mmiata- Anam- Nzam Road (10.9km)
- Abatete, Idemmili North LGA Road (11km)
- Nanka- Aguluzigbo- Umuona Road (8.9km)
- Mbaukwu-Awgbu-Amaetiti – Okpaeze Road (16.37km)
Aside from rural roads, Soludo also took on some heavy capital projects, including the Solution Fun City project in Awka, promoting leisure in the state, and the Ikenga Mall, a product of a Public-Private Partnership, also in Awka.
Ndi Anambra rewarded the Economist-turned-politician with a resounding victory in the polls, sweeping all 21 local governments in the state.
Soludo is rumoured to be in the mix for the vice presidential slot in 2031. These speculations received a boost when he visited the All Progressives Congress National Chairman, sparking rumours of a defection.
