This InfoEast article looks at the 2026 DSTV Confam Channels List and the channels available with that subscription package. DSTV, in its bid to roll out more affordable subscription plans for its Nigerian customers, has launched a new subscription plan category.

The DSTV “Confam” and DSTV “Yanga” are by far cheaper than older subscription plans, and the goal is to offer a plan for low-income earners, who make up the bulk of Nigeria’s population.

A PWC report pegged the percentage of Nigerian’s living in abject poverty at 62%. This follows the fact that the Nigerian minimum wage is approximately N70,000. Low-income earners can’t afford high-end DSTV subscription plans, so there’s a need to provide a suitable plan for them.

However, despite all the price strategies, DSTV is still struggling to retain customers in Nigeria as the Nigerian economy continues to depreciate. Multichoice group, DSTV’s parent company, announced that it lost about 1.2 million linear subscribers in 2025, bringing its total subscriber count across all platforms to 14.5 million.

The subscriber loss was even steeper in 2024, with the media company losing 2.8 million subscribers. These losses have prompted DSTV to implement strategic pricing to salvage the situation. DSTV “Confam” and DSTV “Yanga” are products of the firm’s strategic pricing models.

    What is DSTV Confam

DStv Confam is a mid-range subscription package in Nigeria designed specifically for families. It balances local entertainment, international novellas, and European football. At Press time, the subscription price is ₦11,000 per month.

What to Expect in DStv Confam

    • Channels: Over 105 TV channels and 11 audio channels.
    • Sports Focus: Unlike the cheaper “Yanga” package, Confam includes live football, specifically all La Liga and Serie A matches.
    • Family Content: A strong mix of kids’ programming (Disney Junior, Nickelodeon) and local dramas.
