The organizing team of the Enugu Tech Festival (ETF) hosted a pre-conference campus fiesta at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) to warm up the university ahead of the main Enugu Tech Festival slated for next Year.
The ETF team started the day with a courtesy visit to the vice chancellor’s office at the UNN Campus, Nsukka, informing the office of their plans for the day and securing the institution’s support for their event.
The organising team proceeded to engage the students, drawing over 1500 students as the first Pre-Conference Campus Fiesta took effect. The massive turnout of the UNN students signified the readiness of the university community for the headline tech event slated for 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, stressed the need to advance Enugu through technology and youthful partnerships. Mr Ezeh spoke about an Enugu, where government institutions and young technology innovators are united behind the mission to make Enugu a national tech hub.
Mr Ezeh described the sucessful pre-conference fiesta as more than an event but a movement which is rightly placed to kickstart a technology revolution in the south eastern state.
“More campus activations, trainings, and community-driven showcases are coming. Be part of the journey,” Ezeh added
