The Anambra state governor, Prof Charles Soludo, was a shining star at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he received three awards and delivered a keynote speech.
The APGA-driven governor of Anambra was awarded two continental awards and one recognition award by the South Carolina House of Representatives.
The awards bagged by the governor include the African Public Service Excellence Award — the African Governor of the Year Award — and Special Recognition/Commendation by the South Carolina House of Representatives.
Soludo expressed delight in receiving the awards and thanked the issuing bodies for the special recognition.

Soludo expressed delight and satisfaction in sharing the stage with world leaders and international dignitaries like former Tanzanian President Dr. Jakaya Kikwete, Prime Minister Philip Davis of The Bahamas, President Sylvanie Burton of Dominica, former Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and Prime Minister Dr. Judith Suminwa Tuluka of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Additional dignitaries present at the event were the African Development Bank Secretary-General Prof. Vincent O. Nmehielle and the Governor of Zamfara State, among other notable guests.
The Anambra Governor gave a keynote address titled “Africa Unleashed: Navigating the Disruptions, Enhancing Opportunities,” extrapolating Anambra as a use case to back up his argument.
