The Enugu Government, in partnership with Lextech Ecosystem Limited, successfully graduated 39 pioneer verbatim court reporters to deepen the dispensation of Justice in the state.
The graduation took place in a landmark event held at the Innocent Umezulike Auditorium, High Court Complex, Enugu. The 39 graduates are the very first set of court reporters in the state tasked with transcribing court proceedings in real time, leveraging cutting-edge legal technology.
The Enugu state governor, Peter Mbah, represented by his Special Adviser on Legal Matters, Osinachi Nnajieze, stated that the development aligns with his agenda for the legal sector in the state. He added that the newly trained court reporters will play a pivotal role in the fast and efficient dispensation of justice in the state.
“You are going to be one of the first fruits of our reform. You will set the pace, help us to take records accurately and retrieve them quickly,’’ the governor said.
Governor Mbah hailed and congratulated the Graduates for seeing to the finish the rigorous training and the complex nature of court reporting in the legal field. He urged the graduates to go ahead and make their impact felt in the state’s judicial system.
The Chief Executive Officer of Lextech Ecosystem Limited, Emeka Albert, in a keynote address, described the event as a major leap in Nigeria’s judicial system. He said the initiative was aimed at filling the historic gap in efficient court reporting plaguing the country’s judicial system.
“You are the torchbearers of a transformative movement in the judicial system,” Albert said to the graduates, praising their resilience, focus, and adaptability, which have equipped them to improve the quality of justice in the state.
The CEO commended Governor Mbah’s vision in establishing a world-class judicial system in the state, saying the development would serve as a reference point and mentorship example to other states’ judicial systems.

Dignitaries, including the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Hon. Justice Ozoemenam Afojulu, represented by Justice Ngozi Oji; the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, who was represented by a director in the ministry, Uzoamaka Okeji, and a legal luminary, Mr. Anthony Ani, SAN, hailed Governor Mbah’s visionary leadership which was evident in his agenda for the state’s judicial system.
The overall best graduating student of the program, Ezeme Chibuikem, thanked the government and Lextech on behalf of his fellow graduates, stating that they are grateful to be granted the opportunity to participate in the technical and specialized training. He stated their commitment to excellence and professionalism in the day-to-day discharge of their duties.
