The Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) has released updated charges for ceremonial posters, banners, and promotional materials across the state.
The new rate structure shows that a 4x6ft banner will cost five thousand naira for two weeks, while an 8x10ft banner will cost twenty thousand naira for the same duration. Larger signage over 10 square feet will now cost 100,000 naira for a 1-month display period.
For printed materials, a set of 40 posters will cost 5,000 naira for a two-week display.
The agency also stated that directional signs measuring 1×2 ft leading to event venues will not incur any fee.
It added that any signage left beyond the approved duration will incur additional charges equal to the initial payment, assessed weekly as a penalty.
The notice includes a contact line for enquiries via the Community Assets Manager and provides the agency’s official digital platform, operated by the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency.
Anambra State authorities say the update is part of its regulatory framework for outdoor advertising and public space management. ANSSA is a government body in Anambra State responsible for outdoor advertising, signage, and public messaging.
The body generates revenue from the business and political sectors by charging fees for the approval of various forms of public messaging. Last year, ANSSA raked in a whopping N800 million from campaign fees from the majority of the Anambra gubernatorial candidates in the state.
The advertisement body also features a digital version of its services, termed the “Digital Anyaora”. ANSAA runs on a commission-based arrangement with the Anambra State Government. It is one of the revenue-generating agencies in the very commercial state of Anambra.
