Governor Peter Mbah on Thursday celebrated the third anniversary of his administration with a thanksgiving mass, expressing gratitude to God for what he described as three years of progress and development in Enugu State.
The governor said the occasion provided an opportunity to reflect on his administration’s journey since taking office and to appreciate God’s guidance, mercy, and grace for the state.
Mbah noted that his government has remained focused on its promise to transform Enugu into a safer, more prosperous, and innovative state where residents can achieve their goals and enjoy better opportunities.
According to him, the anniversary was not only a time to look back on achievements so far but also a moment to renew his administration’s commitment to continue working for the state’s growth and development.
The governor also thanked the people of Enugu for their support, trust, and cooperation over the past three years, saying their partnership has contributed to the progress his administration has made.
He assured residents that his government would continue to pursue policies and projects aimed at improving citizens’ lives and moving the state forward.
Mbah ended his anniversary message with a note of optimism, stating that greater things lie ahead for Enugu as his administration continues its development agenda.
His administration has been marked by key reforms and a broad digitisation of key sectors in the state. The Smart School and Smart Farm initiative both leverage technology to advance Education and Agriculture in the state.
Mbah’s defection to the All Progressives Congress is a major highlight of his three-year tenure as Enugu Governor. Enugu is the latest Southeast state to join the APC, taking the tally to three states in the region.
Peter Mbah’s joining the APC ended nearly 24 years of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, turning the state from a PDP stronghold to captured territory for the ruling party.
