Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, will today showcase Imo state at a prestigious United Nations (UN) global impact roundtable in Seville, Spain.

The Governor at the event organized by UN Global Impact would be showcasing Imo state’s sustainable economic models amidst other key developments in the state. The event, themed “Driving Business Leadership in Sustainable Finance in Uncertain Times.” would attract Global and finance leaders speaking on solutions to bridge the financing gap for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).

Uzodimma was invited to the event to share economic models employed in his state and his expertise in implementing such models towards impactful results.

The invitation letter noted, “Given Imo State’s commitment to sustainable development and your leadership in fostering economic development, your insights would be invaluable.”

Imo State Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba, described the invitation as well-deserved, given the state’s current strides and strategic execution of economic models. He pointed out economic models like the Skill Up Imo and Okobi business model as stellar examples of the Uzodinma administration’s execution, which earned it an invite to the UN event.

Governor Hope Uzodimma is currently in his second tenure after securing a landmark win in 2023 with over 80% of the votes.
