The executive governor of Enugu state, Dr Peter Mbah, received a delegation of Anambra indigenes living in Enugu in a bid to strengthen collaboration between indigenes of both Igbo states.
The delegation led by Dubem Ilouba Esq met with the governor yesterday to discuss ways to further collaboration and brotherhood between Anambra and Enugu states. The meeting, which took place at the government house, featured a host of titled chiefs from both sides.
” Our discussion centered on deepening collaboration and strengthening the bonds that unite us as one people. Our administration remains committed to ensuring that Enugu is not just a place of residence, but truly a home where everyone, regardless of state of origin, can thrive, prosper, and pursue their dreams.” Mbah said, reacting to the meeting.
Mbah revealed that his administration is proud to also include competent Anambra individuals, a testimony to its all-inclusive governance model. He hailed the contribution of the Anambra people in the socio-cultural, political, and economic well-being of the state.
“Together, we are building an inclusive society founded on unity, shared opportunities, and mutual respect,” Mbah added.
The Mbah adminstration has been credited with making Enugu state viable enough to host MICE events and national conferences, as the state recently witnessed over 20,000 lawyers visit for the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association.
