The people of the seven local governments in Anambra North zone backed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term offering their solid support for his campaign to remain at agu awka come November.

The event was marked by a colorful display of march past by the seven local governments in the zone and solidarity remarks from key stakeholders. The event hosted under the aegis of the Anambra North Stakeholders Forum took place at the Otuocha Township Stadium, Aguleri, on Saturday with the governor present at the event.

“This is a powerful demonstration of our collective resolve to move our state forward, Soludo said stressing on the need for support from the anambra populace in the race to move the state forward.

The governor aired his excitement on the gesture from Anambra north noting that it is refreshing to see such when the campaign season have not even started.

“I am quite excited and surprised that the North Senatorial Zone began this movement officially, even when we have not even set up a campaign council because we are still focused on the work.

“I hear that the politicians are already moving around. When the time comes, we will also campaign as if we are the underdog to an unknown opponent, because we will never take the support of ndị Anambra in vain.

“Anambra state traditional rulers have now formalised the ‘Oluatuegwu’ as a title—a name casually given to me by a woman on the street during one of my usual road inspections.

“I have a history with Anambra North Traditional Rulers. On 17th October, 2020, you invited me and endorsed me to become the Governor of Anambra State. Also, immediately I was sworn in, I started work in Anambra North. I deeply appreciate this, ndị Igwe Anambra North. 2025 again, we are beginning this journey in Anambra North.

“We have largely perfected the process of zoning in Anambra state, where each of the three zones produce successive governors.

“I’m telling ndị Anambra, you have not seen anything yet. We will set up a campaign council and at the appropriate time, we will start our campaign. For now, we will continue our programmes in youth development, regenerative agriculture, health, education, and others. Anambra is one state, one people, one party, Anambra is APGA land, The Governor concluded.
