The Green City of Enugu has witnessed a surge of global and continental Web 3 enthusiasts interested in the Ethereum Project over the past week. The two-week ETH Enugu experience featured Tech and Web 3 heads from Kenya, the United States, Ghana, Colombia, and participants from Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Owerri, and other parts of the country.
The event featured three main programs balled up into one: the Builder Residency, Pop-up City, and Ethereum Conference.
- The ETH Enugu Builder Residency featured a cross-section of 50 builders from 15 countries, with over 300 applications, rubbing minds and exchanging ideas. The brainstorming session involved numerous tech bro activities, leveraging the collective power of the talents converged at the event.
- The ETH Enugu Pop-up was a comprehensive setup involving creators and ecosystem contributors engaged in a range of programs, while also interacting with residency fellows and the local community.
- The ETH Enugu conference was the elephant in the room, featuring over 40 speakers who spoke on issues ranging from adoption, regulation, and the expanded application of Blockchain Technology.

INFOEAST sought firsthand feedback from event attendees to gauge whether the community’s expectations were met.
” ETH Enugu? Think of it as where blockchain meets vibes, techies, both the bros and the ladies from all over the Southeast, coming together to swap ideas, explore Web3, connect, and spark the next big thing.” Chimeremma Chukwudi, Social Media Manager and Web 3 Enthusiast, told INFOEAST.
Speaking about the Tech Ecosystem in the Southeast region, Chukwudi expressed hope and optimism, citing the emergence of tech hubs in the area.
“New tech hubs like Roar Hub (Nsukka), Genesys (Enugu), and DevAmplify (Awka) are training creators and startups. Anambra is building fiber optics, training thousands, and planning a mega Innovation District.
Local startups are solving real problems, AI for farming, digital tools for manufacturing, and fintech for SMEs.” He added.

The ETH Enugu 2025 is followed by the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference, which attracts a whopping 20,000 lawyers to Enugu State. The Ethereum-based conference meets the criteria for a perfect MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) event, currently transforming Enugu into a global destination.
The ETH Enugu conference was spearheaded and led by Okoye Kelvin Chibuoyim (Ezemmuo Blockchain), a foremost Tech and Web 3 culture leader in the South East space and Nigeria at large.
The Uber Futuristic tech event revealed the vast potential in the Nigerian Web 3 ecosystem, directly exposing local talent to global conversations.
